Journal of mammalian ova research (JMOR) should be within the scope of mammalian ova research including gametogenesis, fertilization, embryo development, implantation, pregnancy and genetics. And this paper also deals with assisted reproductive technology. All papers accepted for publication will appear in the printed journal. Authors are required to be members of the Japan Society for Ova Research. Manuscript types include Original Papers, Brief Notes, Reviews, Case Reports and Miscellaneous (Editorial, Materials, Book Reviews, etc.).
All manuscripts submitted are reviewed by the members of the Editorial Board or consultants. Accepted manuscripts will appear in the journal in the order of date of acceptance. The reviewers are selected in the Editorial Office. The decisions and reports from the reviewers are usually returned to the authors within 4 weeks of submission. Acceptance is based on scientific content, sufficiently high originality and importance. Invited reviews are assessed by the Editor-in-Chief and further reviewed as appropriate.
The authors should observe the Guiding Principles in the Care and Use of Animals (DHEW Publication, NIH) and the Declaration of Helsinki for Medical Research. Studies should be approved with the ethical standards of the responsible committee on human experimentation (institutional and national). Informed consent was obtained from all patients for being included in the study.
Journal of Mammalian Ova Research uses the ICMJE uniform disclosure of conflict of interest form (http://www.icmje.org/coi_disclosure.pdf). Each author must complete and sign the form. Please include these forms with your original submission.
Manuscripts must be submitted online. After you have prepared your manuscript according to this instructions, please visit the online submission JMOR web site. For all authors of accepted manuscripts a copyright form will need to be sent directly to the production office (IPEC). Your copyright form will download from JMOR web site.
Please prepare the manuscript file as an MS word file for submission, including all tables if possible. All figures must be prepared as JPEG files.

Original papers no longer than 6 printed pages, Review papers no longer than 8 printed pages and Brief notes no longer than 3 printed pages are published without page charges. Charges for additional pages and color figures will be quoted on request.
Revised manuscripts must be returned by online submission system too.
Style
All papers should be written in English. Format all pages to A4 paper or standard U.S. letter paper with 2.5 cm margins. The manuscript must be left-justified, double spaced. Number each page on the bottom. Number lines in the left margins on all pages.
Sections
Please divide into Title page, Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgements, References, Tables, Legends to Figures, Abstract in Japanese (for Japanese author). For Case Reports, put Case Report into Materials and Methods, and Results. For Review, Abstract, Introduction and Conclusion are needed. Up to five key words must be supplied in all manuscripts submitted.
Title Page
Manuscripts should be accompanied by Title, surname and given name of all authors, address. An e-mail address will be published for the corresponding author, who should be identified.
Abstract
The abstract should be not more than 200 words.
Introduction
Materials and methods
The name of foreign researchers and places should be abbreviated. Arabic numerals and SI units should be used. Common recognizable abbreviations can be used without definition.

References
References should be numbered consecutively, with arabic numerals, in the order in which they are cited in the text. The number of the references should be indicated in the text as …[1], …[2, 3], …[1-5]. The following are examples:
References to Journals:

Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the references. All authors in references must be listed.
Tables
Each table should be submitted on a separate page and be self-explanatory. Footnotes to the table should be acceptable. References in the tables in the text should be indicated in the right margins and referenced sequentially as Table 1, 2, etc.
Figures
All figures must be prepared as JPEG files. Please note that the Editorial Office may alter the size of figures submitted. Number references of figures sequentially as Figure 1, 2, etc. in the text, and indicate positioning in the right margin in the text.
Figure legends
Abstract in Japanese
If Japanese are include in the authors, the authors must attach an abstract in Japanese. The abstract should be not more than 400 words. Title, surname and given name of all authors, and address must also be given in Japanese.
English Proofreading
When the editorial committee considers that overall English editing of the manuscript is necessary, the author(s) will be required to cover the cost of editing by a specialist.
Offprints
The order form and the price list of reprints will be sent to the authors with the proof read copy after acceptance.
